Cafe Meeks — mark concepts · round 1

A cup with wings.

Six directions on Billy's idea: the cup's handles become wings — the bar that flies to you. Every mark is drawn in the wordmark's ink (#6A8B6F) and sits beside the real wordmark so the lockup can be judged, not imagined. Pick one and it gets refined into masters (SVG, mono, reversed, favicon).

01 · The Flight solid

The literal read. A tapered to-go cup, two swept wings at the rim, two curls of steam. Reads at favicon size; the wings are the handle nobody else has.

02 · The Line monoline

Same idea, drawn with one pen weight so it matches the hairline serifs in the wordmark. The small arc inside the cup is the meniscus — the fill from the site.

03 · The Glass side view · the site's hero

The tall glass from the hero, half-filled to a wave, one ice cube, wings at the rim. Ties the mark to the site's one idea: the glass fills.

04 · The M monogram

The M of Meeks drawn as a flock's wingbeat over a small cup. More monogram than picture; strong on a cup lid or a cart apron.

05 · The Bean wings + bean

A winged bean — the delivery promise without a cup. Caveat: half her menu is matcha; a bean tells half the story.

06 · The Crest badge · reversed

Concept 01 inside a ring, reversed out of the matcha deep. This is the sticker on the cup, the stamp on the crate, the profile picture.

How to read these. Look at each lockup at arm's length, then squint. The one that still reads as "a cup that flies" is the one. Round 2 refines the pick: true curves, optical weight matched to the wordmark's thick strokes, a one-colour version, a reversed version and a 16px favicon test. The wordmark itself stays exactly as she has it — these sit beside it, never replace it. Back to the site
